Preliminary Design & Free Estimates
Make no mistake, we do not claim to be architects and we currently keep our design work in-house. The purpose of providing preliminary design is to allow our customers the freedom of consistently working through the plan, problem-solving, thinking of new ideas, and making changes without having to worry about how much it's costing them.
This much freedom allows for a whole new level of personalization to your home. Sometimes, our first design is what we stick with and sometimes we make dozens of changes together before we get it just right.
In the summer of 2020, we upgraded our design software so that we can keep all of our design work for our customers 100% in-house. Not only can we help you with the preliminary ideas and design, but now we can produce the full construction set of plans that are ready to build. This still does not cost you anything upfront as long as we build and complete the home.*
The 3D renderings that we can produce help our customers visualize the outside AND the inside of the home, something that standard architectural prints can't provide.
If you aren't comfortable with C&B Construction handling 100% of the design, you are more than welcome to work with an actual architect and/or engineer so we can work together to create your dream home!
These are 3D renderings for our Construction Manager, Casey, and his floor plan which will eventually serve as the C&B Construction model home. Everything you see was created in the same program we use for preliminary design and all the finishes you see are possible and obtainable in your home.
Preliminary design typically falls hand-in-hand with larger projects such as custom homes and additions. Smaller projects like a bathroom remodel don't necessarily require these services as they don't usually require full architectural prints to obtain permits. However, we can always take advantage of the design services if we need to!
Smaller projects, like a bathroom remodel, qualify for free estimates. We will never charge to meet with you, take a look at your project, or brainstorm what you're wanting to do. And as long as we build and complete the homes we design, then there will never be an additional charge for our design services.

*Our final design services do come with a fee that is included in our cost to build. Working through the preliminary stages together is still free but the time included to produce a full construction set and the reimbursement for the printing will be billed out after construction has started.
